Kelly Ann Havlin: SENSE Before Sets – Neurodiversity-Affirming EMDR
What changes in EMDR when we begin with the individual nervous system?
In this interactive and experiential presentation, EMDR therapists will explore their own sensory processing patterns and consider how sensory differences, interoception, regulation, and neurodivergence can impact the EMDR process. We’ll explore practical ways to adapt elements of the eight-phase protocol—including resourcing, assessment, bilateral stimulation, pacing, and reprocessing—while maintaining the integrity of the EMDR model.
Come prepared to experience, experiment, and leave with a new lens for understanding what may be happening in the EMDR room when a client’s nervous system needs something different.
All Southern California EMDR clinicians recently trained, certified or interested in joining are welcome to attend!
This is a great opportunity to network with EMDR clinicians, learn from a featured speaker about relevant clinical topics, and give and receive support.
