Terry Duffy: Aromotherapy – Using Essential Oils to Help Heal Trauma

Essential oils can be a useful adjunct to EMDR Therapy. Often used for resourcing, they also may be used as cognitive interweaves to keep a client moving through their trauma.

Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts show priests and physicians were using essential oils thousands of years before the time of Christ. There are 188 references to essential oils in the Bible alone. Why is this and why are essential oils more than just a perfume?

We will discuss:

  • The history behind these fascinating oils
  • How they are made
  • How we can use them for physical health enhancement
  • How we can use them for releasing trauma and other emotional patterns trapped in the body.
