Aurelia RickettsAs a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Aurelia Ricketts’ practice includes looking at patients from a holistic manner with not only prescription medication but over the counter supplements, exercise, and diet. She will lead a discussion on using supplements and psychiatric medications as adjunctive treatment to EMDR trauma therapy, as well as looking at how clinicians and psychiatrists or psychiatric nurses can work together.

Aurelia Ricketts, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University in psychology, attended Texas Tech University for her bachelor’s degree in nursing, and received her master’s degree for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University.

Prior to earning her master’s degree she worked in the mental health field for five years as a behavioral health technician and then as a registered nurse. During her time as a nurse she was nominated and won several awards for outstanding patient care including Nurse of the Year, multiple Daisy Awards, and an Excellence in Action award.
