Colin Ross MDIn this workshop, Dr. Ross will explain how to conduct a clinical interview for dissociative identity disorder (DID) and how to use the Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES) and the Dissociative Disorders Interview Schedule (DDIS). Copies of the DES and DDIS will be provided to attendees who provide their email addresses. Dr. Ross will then describe techniques and strategies for stabilization of DID that are of particular use in the History, Preparation and Assessment phases of EMDR Therapy.

The most common reason for poor outcomes in EMDR Therapy of DID are failure to recognize the disorder and moving into bilateral stimulation too quickly. The techniques described in this workshop can help prevent such negative therapeutic reactions. The approach in the workshop will be practical with case examples.
